- Good news for fans of repeats: BBC3 begin repeating series 6 on Friday night but UK Channel Watch is showing Series 1 from 4PM tonight. Over the coming weekend they will be showing episodes from series 4 and the Peter Cushing movie Dr Who. and the Daleks.

- Starz, the US channel that have jointly funded Torchwood: Miracle Day have spoken about the future of the show and it's certaintly not assured. CEO Chris Albrecht said:

"Torchwood is not one of the shows we went into thinking about a yearly return. It’s about Russell T Davies - he has a lot of things on his plate. If Torchwood is not at the top of his list, that will affect the future of Torchwood."

- BBC Worldwide chief John Smith wants to drive the big BBC moneyspinner's into Asia, and that includes Doctor Who.

- Changing Rooms star Laurence Llweyn-Bowen wants to play the Master. He said:

“They are all getting younger so I would be completely disinterested in being Doctor Who,” he said. “But I would be interested in being The Master. That’s got me written all over it. Anyone who lives in a grandfather clock has me written all over him. I’m not sure whether they have brought that back though.”

- After The Daily Mirror published an article about the Doctor saving Hitler (based on the new trailer), Steven Moffat has responded saying:

“I think we can unequivocally say we’re against Hitler. I think the worst thing you can do to that awful man is take the mickey out of him on ‘Doctor Who’. Don’t worry, we’re not going to save Hitler.”

- And Moffat has always spoken about Captain Jack. First he said he wanted him to appear in A Good Man Goes to War but Barrowman was too busy filming Torchwood:

"I'd have [brought back Captain Jack] for 'A Good Man Goes To War', but John was busy doing Miracle Day... When we've got a good story, we'll do it. You can't just bring somebody back and say, 'That's a story'. I won't be thinking, 'How do you bring Captain Jack back?' I'll be thinking, 'You know what this needs? We need to bring Jack back for it'."

And he has also said that the Doctor will never appear in Torchwood:

"The Doctor could never go to Torchwood, Russell [T. Davies, Torchwood showrunner] and I both agree on that. Doctor Who has a tremendous relationship with children in Britain. They'd want to watch Torchwood then, and it's not really a children's show."
