I've been doing a little calculating and have added ratings of the episodes so far seen in series 6 to the number of times they were requested on BBC iPlayer, thus getting somewhere near the number of people who watched it in the UK.
The Impossible Astronaut: 10.65 million
Day of the Moon: 8.48 million
The Curse of the Black Spot: 9.06 million
The Doctor's Wife: 9.19 million
The Rebel Flesh: 8.45 million
The Almost People 7.56 million (note that the iPlayer rating for this episode was only over four days)
So there you have it. Those are staggering figures for a UK drama show and these are still not the final figures. Plus they don't include international views. And the Daily Mail said that Doctor Who was in trouble...
