The Doctor From Gallifrey 

This is Moffatgate as the internet has decided it's called. Steven "the Moff" Moffat, current Doctor Who exec producer and showrunner, has left Twitter. The online fanbase have gone wild with speculation about why this is. 

Sue Vertue, the Moff's wife, tweeted that Moffat "is well and currently having a family lunch but he's got a huge amount on and twitter was proving a distraction".  

We think this seems fair enough but is there more to it. Well Moffat had been asking the day before how to limit @replies and he did get a lot of abuse. Whether that caused him to leave Twitter or not is impossible to tell. We hope it's not the case and that Moffat is just really busy. He does have the rest of series 7 to finish, the 50th anniversary to sort out and the next series of Sherlock, probably amongst other things as well. S

Still, it's perfectly ok for you to have opnions, even negative ones we suppose, but there's no need to be abusive to people is there?
