- Showrunner Steven Moffat has talked about the show's 50th anniversary. “I’ve got various plans, but all I can say emphatically is it will be huge,” Steven Moffat tells TVLine.

- Steven Moffat has hinted  that the show will eventually return to featuring more stand-alone episodes, rather than the current focus on long-term story arcs.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Moffat commented: "Tradition is the enemy of suspense. It's the enemy of comedy. It's the enemy of everything... It will always push back towards the anthology model. We've just amped it up to see what would happen."

- Yesterday it was reported that the BBC has cut a scene from an upcoming episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day. However, saying an entire scene has been cut is a bit of an overstatement and it seems that actually only ten seconds have been cut so you get to see a bit of naked Barrowman if that's your thing.
