The Doctor From Gallifrey 

Matt Smith is making his directing debut on Sky Arts programme Playhouse Presents. The current Doctor is directing the one-off drama entitled Cargese and was written by award-winning playwright Simon Stephens. 

Jessica Raine, star on BBC1 drama Call the Midwife and guest star of an upcoming episode of Doctor Who has been discussing what it was like to work on Who when interviewed by the Radio Times.

The two covers for the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, Isse #452, have been revealed. There is a cover for the other two episodes in the first half of series 7, The Power of Three and The Angels Take Manhatten. 

The final ratings for Asylum of the Daleks have been released. There were 8.33 million viewers, which is nearly two million more than the overnight figure of 6.38 million suggested. We always find it's best to ignore the overnights and wait for the proper figures. These figures don't include iPlayer and given the episode is still 7th 9 days later tells us that'll be pretty big too. The show had 34.4% of the audience share.

This is Moffatgate as the internet has decided it's called. Steven "the Moff" Moffat, current Doctor Who exec producer and showrunner, has left Twitter. The online fanbase have gone wild with speculation about why this is.

It was revealed today on Twitter that Issue 451 of Doctor Who Magazine will have three different covers. Two will be revealed next week but the first can be seen below: 

The first episode of Doctor Who series 7, "Asylum of the Daleks" will air in the UK on 1st September at 7.20PM on BBC1! It will air at 9PM on BBC America in the US and Space in Canada!
